Criminals often tamper with a vehicle to distract you or prevent you leaving a location.

If there are flyers or an obvious modification to your car i.e. flat tire, windscreen wipers up, chewing gum in key locks, keep walking and assess the area.

These are common tactics for criminals to distract a target, giving them time to approach and engage.

Walk away from the vehicle.
