Guidance

A suspicious person is either one who is exhibiting suspicious behavior, or who is in an area or doing something that is not normal.

The easiest option is to avoid contact with a person acting suspiciously.

There is no hard and fast rule to identifying suspicious persons. Consider the context, day or night.

However indicators include:

– Loitering or being in an area for an extended period of time without an obvious reason

– Concealing or covering their identity using hats, hooded tops, sunglasses

– Concealed face, using a mask

Tips

Block around them (three sided square) and continue on.

Don’t continue through areas that reduce your freedom of movement, such as an alley way or under pass tunnel.

Walk in open areas which are well lit and populated if possible.

Don’t wear headphones.

Start thinking if/then. If they do this, I do this then.

Activate Help in Core Lite, or use one of the live sharing features. Do it in a way that is not obvious and may alert the suspicious person(s).
