End of safety plan

End of safety plan timer

At the end of safety plan timer, there are three options:

– Select [Continue] to the notification prompt and extend the safety plan timer

– Select [Complete] and the safety plan will be completed. No further safety cover will apply.

– Walk out of the safety area as depicted on the map with a colored circle.

Continue selected at end time

In response to notifications at the end of a safety plan, if a user selects [Continue], an additional 10 minutes will be added to the original end time i.e. 10.30am, the new end time is 10.40a.m. If a user happens to select [Continue] at 10.32am, the +10 is still added to 10.30am, making the new end time 10.40am.

Complete

Select Complete and the safety plan ends. If selected as an option, contacts will automatically be SMS’d notifying them that you have completed your safety plan.

Help alert issued via SMS

At the end of the safety plan you will be alerted and presented with the above options.

Every two minutes you will be sent a reminder notification, along with audio/vibration alerts.

You have a maximum of six minutes (2+2+2) before Help alert SMS are automatically sent out. To prevent this, select Continue, Complete or walk out of safety area.

This feature has been designed so if you are unable to notify contacts for help, whether the result of a medical event or personal safety issue, help SMS’s will still be issued out.

1st notification

At the scheduled end of the safety plan, you are made aware by notification + audio alert + vibration.

0 minutes after the scheduled end of timer.

2nd notification

If you have not exited the location and no changes have been made to the safety plan, a second notification + audio alert + vibration notification is issued to you.

2 minutes after the scheduled end of timer.

3rd notification

This is a final notification + audio alert and vibration.

4 minutes after the scheduled end of timer.

Help Alert

Plus 6 minutes after the end of the safety plan, a help alert is sent out to contacts selected in your safety plan.

You will receive a notification if the screen is locked, advising that the help alert has been activated.

A large help alert will display inside the app, once the app is opened.

The SMS are sent out automatically and do not require you to do anything.

Contacts can select the link in the SMS and view:

– Your full name

– Phone number

– Your address location

– Your Live location on a map.

Contacts do not need to have the Core Lite app installed on their mobile phone.

This feature accelerates the process when you need help.

Contacts can then take next steps to contact you, head to your location or direct first responders.
